Principal Human Factors And Human Reliability Scientist at Battelle

David Gertman, PhD has over 20 years of work experience in various roles related to human factors, human reliability assessment, and risk assessment. David worked as a Principal Human Factors and Human Reliability Scientist at Battelle Energy Alliance - INL, where they provided consultation to internal programs as well as federal agencies such as DOE, Department of Homeland Security, NASA, DoD, and NRC. Their responsibilities included leading projects in advanced transportation simulation, robotics, field studies, visualization, task analysis, experimental design, and modeling and simulation. David also worked as a Principal Scientist at Idaho National Laboratory and as a Senior Scientist at Lockheed Martin - Idaho National Laboratory. Prior to that, they served as a Manager at Jason Associates, where they performed risk analysis and managed a team of 10 nuclear safety professionals.

David Gertman, PhD holds an MA and PhD in Human Factors Engineering from The Catholic University of America. David also earned a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Microbiology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
