Sara J. Koepke, Ph.D., LSSYB has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Sara J. began their career as an Intern at Fermilab, where they managed computer backup and recovery processes. Sara J. then worked as an Intern at SeaquistPerfect Dispensing, where they gained experience in quality control and ISO requirements. Sara also worked as a Chemical Technician and Contractor at UOP A Honeywell Company, where they prepared and analyzed various petroleum and biological based samples for mass spectrometric analysis.
Sara J. then transitioned to the field of education and research, working as an Undergraduate Researcher at Northern Illinois University and as a Graduate Student Researcher and Teaching Assistant at Northern Illinois University. During this time, Sara developed advanced knowledge in areas such as acid rain formation and electrochemistry.
Sara also worked as a Private Tutor, utilizing their chemistry expertise to improve students' grades through personalized instruction and study skill improvement.
More recently, Sara has worked at the University of Utah as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant, where they gained experience in electrocatalysis and taught and managed students in laboratory techniques and fundamentals.
Most recently, Sara worked at Battelle as a Research Scientist and Lead Research Scientist. In these roles, they contributed to chemical weapons destruction operations by providing project management, data analysis, and regulatory compliance support. Sara J. also identified and implemented process improvements under the guidance of senior leadership.
In addition to their professional experience, Sara holds a Ph.D. and LSSYB certification.
Sara J. Koepke, Ph.D., LSSYB, completed their education as follows:
- From 2011 to 2017, they attended the University of Utah, where they received a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Chemistry.
- Prior to that, from 2009 to 2011, they pursued coursework towards a Ph.D. at Northern Illinois University.
- Sara J. obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry, with a minor in Psychology, from Northern Illinois University from 2002 to 2007.
- Sara J. completed their high school education and received a diploma from Prairie Ridge High School in 2002.
