Anson Sowby has extensive work experience in various industries and roles. Anson co-founded and served as the CEO of Battery, a creative business that received recognition as one of Ad Age's Small Agencies of the Year. At Battery, Anson combined classic marketing principles, Silicon Valley innovation, and Hollywood storytelling.

Prior to Battery, Anson co-founded Rocket XL, a blogger marketing platform that later transitioned into a social agency. Rocket XL grew to have offices in multiple locations and worked with high-profile clients such as Unilever, Kraft, Coke, PepsiCo, Samsung, and the NHL. The company was eventually sold to Cossette Communications and now operates as Dare.

Anson also worked as the Vice President of Strategy at Dare and as the Director of Global Marketing at Jakks Pacific, where they played a pivotal role in building the plug and play tv games category. In addition, Anson started their career at Universal Studios, working in the video games division, and later moved on to work in the mailroom at Universal Pictures.

Furthermore, Anson has been a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) since 2016.

Anson Sowby pursued their undergraduate education in Business Administration and Management, General at Brigham Young University from 1994 to 1999. Anson obtained a degree from the Marriott School of Business during this time. Later, from 1999 to 2001, they attended the University of Southern California, specifically the Marshall School of Business, to pursue a degree in Marketing. However, the field of study during their time at the University of Southern California is not specified.
