Ricky Willems

Ricky Willems is an experienced engineering professional and combat robotics expert, currently serving as Livestream Host and Safety Director at Havoc Robotics since August 2022. As the Founder of Team Mammoth since November 2018, Ricky built a competitive team for Discovery Channel's BattleBots, successfully designed the largest heavyweight combat robot, and achieved notable victories, including becoming the 5th BattleBot to launch an opponent out of the arena. With previous roles as Senior Electrical Engineer at Emit Imaging and Senior Electrical Design Engineer at RPM Tech, Ricky has a strong background in developing complex electro-mechanical devices and leading engineering teams. Ricky's earlier experience includes key positions at Stanley Black & Decker, Formula Hybrid, and Innovative Dynamics Inc., highlighting a diverse skill set in product design, project management, and electrical engineering. Ricky holds a Dual Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Product Design from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
