Sam de Haas has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Starting with their current position at Battolyser Systems since 2022, they serve as the Head of Strategy & Growth, leading business strategy, fundraising, and product development. Prior to this, they were a Board Member at Apollo Amsterdam Pro Basketball from 2021 to 2022.

Sam's longest tenure was at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where they held various positions. Sam worked as a Project Leader from 2020 to 2022, a Consultant from 2016 to 2020, and an Associate Consultant from 2014 to 2016. During this time, they gained expertise in strategy and consulting.

Additionally, Sam served as a Strategic Advisor at the City of Amsterdam in 2020, contributing to a project that analyzed the long-term effects of the COVID-19 crisis on the city. Sam also worked as an Independent Consultant at NY Green Bank and Wood Mackenzie Power & Renewables in 2020.

Sam's earlier experiences include being seconded from BCG as an Advisor at Politie Nederland in 2018 and serving as a Summer Intern at McKinsey & Company in 2014. Before their consulting career, they worked as a Professional Basketball Player at BSW eredivisie basketball from 2012 to 2013. Overall, Sam's work experience highlights their expertise in strategy, consulting, and business development.

Sam de Haas has a diverse education history. In 2004, they attended Rodenborch College where they completed their High School education with a focus on Economics & Society. Sam then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management from St. Bonaventure University from 2010 to 2011. In 2011, they enrolled at Tilburg University and obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in International Business Administration in 2014. During their undergraduate studies, they had a short term at UNSW in 2013, where they pursued International Business Administration. Recently, from 2018 to 2020, Sam completed their Master in Public Administration with a specialization in Energy and Environment from Columbia | SIPA.
