Stefaan Mouradian

Stefaan Mouradian is the founder, managing director, and president of BAUNAT. Stefaan has over two decades of experience in the banking and diamond industries.

Mouradian began their career as a national management trainee at Fortis Bank in 1988. Stefaan quickly rose through the ranks and became a manager at ABN AMRO Bank in 1990. At ABN AMRO, they held senior management positions in the country credit department, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate banking, and diamond finance.

In 1999, Mouradian left ABN AMRO to join Blue Star Diamonds Group as a director and strategic/corporate advisor. At Blue Star Diamonds, they provided management and strategic consulting services to clients in the diamond industry. Stefaan helped clients with marketing, retailing, branding, business planning, sales and sourcing strategy development, tax and legal issues, succession planning, human resources, banking and finance, insurances, and ICT.

In 2009, Mouradian founded BAUNAT, a leading online retailer of certified diamonds and fine jewelry. BAUNAT’s mission is to provide customers with high-quality diamonds at competitive prices. Under Mouradian’s leadership, BAUNAT has become one of the most successful online jewelers in Europe.

Stefaan Mouradian has a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Antwerp and a Master's in Economics from the same school.
