Rich McGuire

Rich McGuire has over 25 years of experience in the legal field, primarily focusing on intellectual property (IP) law. Rich began their career at HNI Corporation, where they served as an Attorney and led the creation and execution of the company's corporate IP program. During this time, they managed a portfolio of over 1650 matters and implemented various tools and processes for IP review and portfolio management. In 2007, Rich joined Bed Bath & Beyond as Counsel and later became the Assistant General Counsel, Intellectual Property. In this role, they oversaw all aspects of the company's IP portfolio, including prosecution, maintenance, and licensing. Rich also managed IP disputes and related litigation, working closely with outside counsel. In 2023, Rich joined Bausch Health Companies Inc. as the Director of Legal, continuing their career in the legal field.

Rich McGuire received their BA in Philosophy from The Johns Hopkins University in 1993. Rich then pursued a JD at Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law from 1993 to 1996. In addition, they earned 24 credits towards a physics degree at Augustana College from 2001 to 2004 with a GPA of 3.96. Prior to college, they attended Bishop Eustace Preparatory School from 1985 to 1989.
