Astrid Buys

Astrid Buys has held various roles in the field of pricing and market access. Astrid is currently the Global Head of Tenders & Pricing at Bavarian Nordic since October 2022. Before that, they worked at Vifor Pharma as the Head of Pricing (ad interim) from January 2022 to October 2022, and as a Senior Pricing Manager from December 2021 to October 2022. Prior to Vifor Pharma, Astrid worked at Bavarian Nordic as the Global Head of Tenders & Pricing from June 2021 to December 2021. Astrid also has experience as a Market Access & Pricing Specialist and Treasury Analyst at Ascensia Diabetes Care from July 2017 to June 2021, and as a Global Brand Management & Strategy Intern at Ascensia Diabetes Care from January 2016 to December 2016. Astrid's earlier work experience includes being a Global Brand Management Intern at Bayer from November 2015 to January 2016, and an eHealth Intern at the World Health Organization from February 2015 to May 2015. Astrid also had sales roles at various companies from January 2007 to March 2012.

Astrid Buys has an education history that includes a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Massey University, where they double-majored in Economics and Linguistics and minored in Psychology. Astrid also attended the Barcelona School of Economics, where they earned a Master's degree in Health Economics and Policy. Additionally, Astrid attended the University of Basel, where they studied Business Administration and Management, but did not complete a degree in that field. Astrid has also obtained certifications in Effective Ongoing Stakeholder Management, Regulatory Analysis of Pharmaceuticals & Medical Devices, and Tender Writing from various institutions.
