Stefan Buchner

Stefan Buchner is an experienced professional in risk management and operational processes with a strong background in credit risk operations. Currently serving as the Head of Processes and Projects at BAWAG Group since January 2023, Stefan previously held leadership roles at Bitpanda, including Teamlead Operational Risk and Risk & Governance Expert, where significant contributions were made to operational risk frameworks. Additional experience includes positions at UNIQA Insurance Group, PwC Österreich as a Senior Associate in Internal Audit Services, IBM Client Innovation Center, and BNP Paribas Cardif as a Product Owner. Stefan holds multiple degrees, including a Master's in Leadership & Management from Linnaeus University, a Diploma in Business and Economics from Johannes Kepler Universität, and a Master's in Business Process Engineering & Management from Hochschule Burgenland.
