Bay Area Host Committee
Jonathan Becher is the President of Sharks Sports and Entertainment, overseeing the NHL San Jose Sharks, the AHL San Jose Barracuda, the Sharks Ice network of ice centers, and the Sharks Foundation. Jonathan is also a Board Member of the Bay Area Host Committee, and serves as the sole independent Board Member for Trintech, Khoros, and Pixlee. In the past, Jonathan served as the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Churchill Club and held various marketing and leadership roles at SAP, Business Objects, and Pilot Software. Jonathan holds a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Virginia and an MSc in Computer Science from Duke University.

The Bay Area Host Committee (BAHC) was founded in 2022 with a single mission: to unite the Bay Area through sport by building pride, connecting communities, and re-energizing the entire region. With support from the area’s preeminent leaders and professional sports teams – including Bay FC, the Golden State Warriors, the San Francisco 49ers, the San Francisco Giants, the San Jose Earthquakes, the San Jose Sharks, and a new WNBA team – the BAHC is bringing the best to the Bay while celebrating the diversity, innovation, and fandom that make the region unique. The BAHC is proud to contribute to the Bay Area’s legacy by hosting legendary athletes, world-class sporting events and global fan bases in the region’s most iconic venues — and is ready to show the world what the Bay is made of. The BAHC is currently slated to Host the 2025 NBA All-Star, Super Bowl LX, and FIFA World Cup 26.
