Gabriela Schneider

Gabriela Schneider is an accomplished attorney currently serving as an SSI Attorney at Bay Area Legal Aid since August 2023 and as a Board Member for the Playwrights Foundation, contributing to organizational health and fundraising efforts. Previous experience includes working as a Staff Attorney at Hausfeld, where research and document review played a key role in antitrust and qui tam litigation, and as an Associate at Bursor & Fisher, handling various legal documents and client communications. Gabriela's early legal experience includes a summer internship with the Knight First Amendment Institute focusing on First Amendment and FOIA litigation, as well as a summer externship with U.S. District Court, Northern District of California. Gabriela's background also encompasses significant involvement in the arts, including dramaturgy and production roles with multiple theater companies. Gabriela Schneider holds a JD from New York University School of Law and a BA in Performing Arts from Washington University in St. Louis.
