Olufemi Olarewaju, PhD

Olufemi Olarewaju, PhD has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Olufemi is currently serving as the DMD - Corporate Services at Westpaq since November 2021. In addition, they are also the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at Bay Matrix Group (USA) since June 2021.

Previously, Olufemi held the position of Associate Lecturer at the Centre for Petroleum, Energy Economics and Law, University of Ibadan from February 2015. During this time, they taught courses on Political Economy of the Energy Sector, Economics of Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Issues.

Prior to their academic role, Olufemi served as Director at Resource Innovation and Solutions Network Nigeria, Sustainability School Lagos until August 2022. Before that, they worked as a Research Fellow at Sustainability School Lagos, where they contributed to research projects from March 2012 to March 2015.

Olufemi's work experience also includes participating in a water workshop as a participant at Nigeria Breweries (Heineken) in 2015. Olufemi started their career as a Research Fellow at the National Center for Policy Analysis from August 2008 to December 2011.

Olufemi Olarewaju, PhD has an extensive education history. Olufemi obtained a Bachelor of Science in Applied Geophysics from Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria from 1984 to 1989. Following that, they earned their High School Diploma from Government College in Ibadan between 1976 and 1981.

Olufemi pursued further academic achievements by completing a Master's Degree in Information Systems Auditing at California State Polytechnic University in Pomona from 2001 to 2003. In the same institution, they also received a Certificate in Information Systems Auditing, Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) in the field of IT Auditing and Business Administration from 2002 to 2003.

Continuing their education journey, Olufemi enrolled at The University of Texas at Dallas, where they attained a Certificate of Completion in Internal Auditing in 2006-2007. Olufemi went on to complete their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Public Affairs from the same university between 2007 and 2011.

To further expand their knowledge and expertise, Olufemi pursued a Master's Degree in Sustainability (Strategy & Leadership) at Arizona State University from 2014 to 2015. Lastly, in 2020-2021, they studied Sustainable Energy Development Bronze Belt (Energy Transition, Value Chain, and Evaluation) at the University of Houston.
