Monique Brooks

Monique Brooks is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as Legal Counsel at Bay of Plenty Regional Council since May 2020. Prior to this role, Monique spent six years at Holland Beckett Law as a Senior Solicitor, specializing in commercial legal matters for a diverse clientele, including small businesses and listed companies. Monique's career began at Russell McVeagh, where experience was gained in general litigation, addressing complex commercial disputes. Additional experience includes a role as Programme Coordinator at the Ministry of Social Development, contributing to initiatives aimed at protecting vulnerable children. Monique holds an LLB (Hons) and BA from the University of Canterbury and completed a Professionals Course at the College of Law in 2011.
