Shane Grayling

Shane Grayling is a seasoned professional in biosecurity and biodiversity management with extensive experience in various governmental and conservation roles. Currently serving as the Biosecurity Team Leader at the Bay of Plenty Regional Council since July 2012, Shane manages terrestrial biosecurity programs and key external relationships. Previously, Shane held positions as a Senior Biosecurity Officer, Programme Manager for Biodiversity, and Technical Support Officer for both the Department of Conservation and NIWA, focusing on pest management, biodiversity initiatives, and fish research. Shane's academic background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Marine Sciences from The University of Waikato.
