John Heald has extensive experience in the funeral service industry and business development. Currently serving as the General Manager of the Funeral Home Channel at Legacy.com since May 2015, John has held various leadership roles including Senior Vice President of Channel Development and Vice President of Funeral Home Business Development. In addition to these positions, John is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Funeral Service Foundation, focusing on strengthening funeral services and supporting grieving communities, and holds a board position at Bay State Savings Bank. John also contributes to the Advisory Board of The 15-40 Connection, which promotes awareness of cancer in young adults. Previously, John was Vice President of Business Development & Sales at Tributes.com, Partner at Heald Funeral Directors, and held positions at Eons, Inc. and Pre-Need Professionals of New England, amongst others. John Heald earned a Business Administration degree from Bryant University and an Associate's degree in Funeral Service from Mount Ida College.

Our History Bay State Savings Bank's roots extend back to 1895, when 114 spirited citizens of Worcester gathered together and pledged a total of $7,660 to establish a new savings bank in the city. They made good on that pledge, and on May 16, 1895, Bay State Savings opened its doors for business on Main St. in Worcester.
