Christoph Schotes is the Head of Laboratory at Bayer Pharmaceuticals, a position held since 2014, focusing on process research and development. They completed a PhD in chemistry at ETH Zurich, where they specialized in enantioselective catalysis for organic synthesis. Prior to their role at Bayer, Schotes held postdoctoral positions at ETH Zurich and Universität Freiburg, as well as leading projects at Solvias AG in synthesis and catalysis. They earned a Master’s degree in Chemistry from Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich and a Bachelor’s degree from TU Munich.
