Dave Harris

Dave Harris is a seasoned senior research scientist at Bayer Crop Science since April 2016, specializing in the adaptation of chemical processes and the design of experimental plans for herbicide manufacturing. Previously serving as a process technology chemist at Monsanto Company and a research assistant professor at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis, Dave demonstrated expertise in developing antiviral polyamides and adapting chemical processes. With a robust background in medicinal chemistry from roles at Pfizer and SUGEN, Dave made significant contributions to the development of chemokine receptor inhibitors and established a combinatorial chemistry program that led to the discovery of novel kinase inhibitors. Early career experience includes positions at Microgenics and Syntex Pharmaceuticals, focusing on synthetic chemistry and natural product synthesis. Dave Harris holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Penn State University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
