Deepa Balasubramanian

Deepa Balasubramanian is an accomplished professional in the field of plant biotechnology, currently serving as the Head of Trait Delivery in R&D at Bayer Crop Science since February 2014. With a strong background in scientific research, Deepa has held various roles at Bayer Crop Science, including integration team member for R&D and management support to the Global Head of Regulatory Science, as well as leading Trait Discovery in the US. Prior to this, Deepa served as a Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist at Bayer CropScience. Experience also includes working as a Research Scientist in Insect Resistance at Athenix Corp and as a Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Fellow in Cancer Biology at the Lineberger Cancer Center, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Deepa holds a PhD in Molecular Genetics from The Ohio State University and a BS in Zoology from Stella Maris College.
