Elmira Makypova

Elmira Makypova serves as the CFO at Bayer since September 2017, bringing extensive financial expertise from previous roles, including Finance Director at GSK and Finance Business Partner at British American Tobacco. At GSK, Elmira was responsible for management and statutory P&L, budgeting, and pricing alignment for over 100 SKUs, while leading a finance team to enhance skills and business partnering. At British American Tobacco, Elmira performed comprehensive marketing investment analysis and supported the Finance team in developing business strategies for South Central Asia. Earlier roles include Internal Auditor and Senior Consultant at United Cement Group and Senior Auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Elmira holds a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor’s degree from the Kazakhstan Institute of Management Economics and Strategic Research.
