Henning Arlt is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in protein chemistry and structural biology. Currently serving as an Associate Principal Scientist at Bayer since November 2025, Henning previously held positions as a Senior Scientist at Takeda and as a Scientist II at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where expertise in designing and purifying protein targets and solving protein structures through crystallography was demonstrated. Prior roles include serving as a Postdoctoral Scientist at Harvard Medical School, utilizing cryo-electron microscopy to investigate transmembrane proteins, and at the University Medical Center Groningen, where novel protein transport mechanisms in autophagy were discovered. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, an MS in Cell Biology, and a combined BS/MS in Chemistry and Biology, all from Universität Osnabrück.
