Laura McConnell is a Science Fellow at Bayer Crop Science, focusing on engagement with the scientific community regarding regulatory issues, transparency, and sustainability. Previously, Laura served as a Principal Scientist in Regulatory Scientific Affairs at Bayer from 2013 to 2021, and spent over two decades as a Research Chemist at the USDA Agricultural Research Service. In addition to scientific roles, Laura is a passionate advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in science, co-chairing the IUPAC Global Women's Breakfast since 2019 and serving as Deputy Editor for the journal ACS Agricultural Science and Technology. Laura obtained a degree from the University of South Carolina, where they studied from 1987 to 1992.
