Nikola Milosevic is a distinguished scientist with extensive experience in natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning. At Bayer, from January 2020 to January 2024, Nikola served as a Science Fellow, recognized for contributions to NLP development and leading the internal NLP Community to direct the NLP strategy for Pharma R&D Data Sciences and AI. Currently, Nikola co-leads the natural language processing group at The Institute for Artificial Intelligence of Serbia and focuses on advanced topics such as few-shot and zero-shot named entity recognition. Previously, Nikola held positions as an Honorary Research Fellow and Research Associate at The University of Manchester, where work included clinical text anonymization and participation in the EU Horizon 2020 KNOWMAK project. Additionally, Nikola has taught cybersecurity courses at The University of Salford and contributed to research on social innovation at the Manchester Institute of Innovation Research. Nikola's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Computer Science from The University of Manchester and an M.Sc. from the University of Belgrade.
