Samira Merali is a prominent leader in drug development, currently serving as a Senior Clinical Pharmacology Leader at Bayer since 2025. With a PharmD from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and an M.S. in Pharmacometrics from the State University of New York College at Buffalo, Samira has a rich background in clinical pharmacology, having held various significant roles at Bristol Myers Squibb and Novartis. Their expertise includes mastering model-informed drug development and applying innovative quantitative tools to enhance biopharma innovation across therapeutic areas such as infectious disease, cardiovascular health, and oncology. Previously, Samira completed a fellowship in clinical pharmacology at Novartis Oncology and contributed to impactful research during their post-doctoral fellowship at UB/Novartis.
