Helga Blum

Helga Blum has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of finance and real estate. Helga currently holds the position of Managing Director, Head of U.S. Real Estate Finance at Bayerische Landesbank since 2018. Prior to this role, they served as the Executive Director, Head of U.S. Real Estate Finance at the same company from 2018 to 2022.

In their earlier years, Helga held various management positions at different organizations. Helga was a Managing Director, Global Client Management, Real Estate Division at BNY Mellon from 2012 to 2018. Before that, they worked as an Executive Director, Deal Manager, Originations/Real Estate at Eurohypo AG, a subsidiary of Commerzbank AG from 2004 to 2012.

Helga also gained experience in risk management and relationship management at HypoVereinsbank AG. Helga worked as a Director, Risk Manager, Real Estate from 2002 to 2004, and as a Director, Relationship Manager, Real Estate from 1997 to 2002.

Helga began their career as an Assistant Vice President at Helaba from 1993 to 1997, and at Erste Group Bank AG from 1987 to 1992.

Additionally, Helga has been actively involved in the Real Estate Lenders Association since 2009. Helga currently serves as the Treasurer on the RELA National Board of Directors.

Helga Blum has a Bachelor's Degree in Translation Studies - Spanish from Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz. Helga also holds a Baccalaureate Diploma in Accounting and Business/Management from Salzburg Business School. In addition, they completed a Credit Training Program at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co. in New York. Helga Blum is also certified with a Series 7 License from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
