Victoria Smirnova

Victoria Smirnova is a Research Fellow at Bayerische Staatsbibliothek since October 2020, focusing on the cataloging of 15th-century Tegernsee manuscripts. Previously, Victoria served as a Senior Lecturer at Russian State University for the Humanities from February 2011 to September 2014, specializing in Latin Language and Classical Civilization. Victoria also contributed to a research project on "Cistercian Books of Exempla in France in the 13th-15th Centuries" as a Visiting Researcher at Institut d’études avancées de Paris from December 2012 to July 2013. Victoria holds a PhD in Philology from Lomonosov Moscow State University, completed between 1995 and 2000, and pursued further education at the University of Geneva in 2007-2008.
