Nikolaus Pont

Nikolaus Pont is an accomplished arts administrator with extensive experience in the classical music sector. Currently serving as the General Manager and Head of Artistic Planning at Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks since October 2008, Nikolaus has developed a strong reputation for leadership in the arts. Prior to this, roles included Assistant to the Secretary General at Wiener Konzerthaus from August 1999 to August 2008 and Freelance Radio Producer and Presenter at ORF from 1990 to 2005, where Nikolaus produced and presented classical music programs on the Austrian radio channel "Österreich 1." Additional experience includes a position as Assistant Artist Manager at Askonas Holt from September 1997 to July 1999. Educational qualifications include a Post-Graduate Diploma in Arts Administration from City St George’s, University of London, and a degree from the University of Vienna.
