Duc Ha Duong is currently a Board Member at Bayes Impact. Prior to this, they worked as a Data Scientist at Eventbrite from January 2013 to June 2014. As one of Eventbrite's first data scientists, Duc developed machine learning algorithms handling $1B+/year transaction volumes to detect fraudulent events and orders. Duc was able to reduce the false positive rate of fraud models by 20x while also improving detection rates.

In addition to their work on fraud detection, Duc also worked on event classification algorithms and anti-spam systems, recommender systems, and all things data science at Eventbrite. Duc's experience and skills have made him a valuable asset in the world of data science.

Duc Ha Duong completed a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science at Sciences Po and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne. Duc then completed a Visiting student (BESAP) program in Mathematics and Economics at the University of California, Berkeley.
