Laurie McGovern has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on compliance and contract management. Laurie is currently serving as the Vice President & Chief Compliance Officer at Bayhealth since October 2020. Prior to that, they held the position of Chief Compliance Officer, Vice President of Corporate Compliance and Contract Management at Maine Medical Center from October 2015 to November 2022. Laurie also worked as the Director of Compliance Services at Dartmouth Hitchcock from February 2014 to October 2015 and as the Director of Clinical Effectiveness at Dovetail Health from September 2013 to February 2014. Earlier in their career, they held various roles at Boston Medical Center, Magellan Health Services, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont, and the University of Michigan Health System, where they gained experience in provider relations, network development, contract administration, and hospital administration.

Laurie McGovern, MS, CPCO, CHC, CHPC holds a Master's Degree in Executive Leadership from Champlain College, obtained in 2015. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Science at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. In addition to their education, Laurie holds certifications as a Certified Professional Compliance Officer from AAPC and as a Certified in Healthcare Compliance from the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA).
