Linux Embedded Engineer at BayLibre

Carlo Caione has extensive work experience in the field of Linux embedded engineering. Carlo is currently employed as a Linux Embedded Engineer at BayLibre since November 2018. Prior to this, they worked at Endless, Inc. as a Linux Kernel/Embedded Engineer from November 2014 to October 2018. In this role, they focused on making Linux function properly on various platforms and contributed their work to open source projects. Carlo also worked at RSR Srl as a Linux Kernel/Embedded Engineer from September 2013 to November 2014. Additionally, they worked as an Embedded Linux Engineer (consultant) at Amaris from September 2013 to July 2014 and at Devoteam from January 2013 to September 2013. Before that, they were an Embedded Linux Engineer at ADB from January 2013 to September 2013, where they were responsible for firmware development and bug fixing. Carlo Caione also has experience in teaching and research, having worked as a Teaching Assistant and PhD student at the University of Bologna from January 2010 to December 2012. Carlo was also a GNU/Linux system administrator at USI Università della Svizzera italiana from September 2008 to July 2009 and completed an internship in R&D at DAS Italy srl from April 2006 to October 2006, where they conducted feasibility studies and designed analog circuits.

Carlo Caione's education history includes a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, which they obtained between 2003 and 2008. Carlo then pursued a Master's degree in Advanced Studies in Embedded Systems Design at USI Università della Svizzera italiana from 2008 to 2009. Carlo Caione furthered their education by completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electronics Engineering at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna from 2010 to 2012. During this time, they also served as a Visiting Student Researcher in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley from 2011 to 2012.
