Jerome Brunet

Senior Embedded Software Engineer at BayLibre

Jerome Brunet has extensive work experience in the field of embedded software engineering. Jerome started their career as an Embedded Linux Developer at Pace in 2009, where they worked on various projects including the CANAL+ G5 Satellite PVR project. Jerome was responsible for Linux kernel driver development, system integration, and build system.

In 2010, Brunet joined STMicroelectronics as a Field Application Engineer. Jerome provided technical support for the STB product line in EMEA, both pre-sale and post-sale. Jerome'sresponsibilities included promoting new solutions, bringing up ST and third-party platforms, and preparing demos. Jerome worked at STMicroelectronics until November 2015.

Since July 2016, Brunet has been working at BayLibre as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer and technical leader. Jerome is responsible for providing software and product development expertise to customers, with a focus on open-source technologies. Jerome'swork includes board support package and device driver development for Linux kernel, u-boot, and yocto.

Jerome Brunet pursued their education chronologically, starting from 2004 to 2006 at the Institut Universitaire de Technologie du Mans - IUT Le Mans. During this time, they obtained a 2 Year Degree with a focus on Physics and Measurements. From 2006 to 2009, Jerome attended Polytech Grenoble, where they earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Engineering, specializing in Computer Science, Electronics, and Automation.

In 2008 to 2009, Jerome also studied at Linköping University, focusing on Real Time and Embedded Computer Science.

In terms of additional certifications, Jerome completed the Cryptography I course offered by Coursera in September 2014.
