Yousef Hashmi

Yousef Hashmi is a J.D. Candidate at Baylor University School of Law, set to graduate in July 2026, and currently serves as Class President for both the 1L and 2L classes at the institution. Hashmi has extensive legal experience, having worked as a Law Clerk at Hance Scarborough, LLP since May 2025, and previously as a Legal Assistant at Bower PLLC from June 2021 to October 2023, where responsibilities included drafting various legal documents in a civil litigation context. An internship with U.S. Senator John Cornyn in late 2023 and another with Senator Tim Scott provided valuable insights into legislative processes, including attending congressional hearings and engaging with constituents. Additional experience includes a legislative internship with the Texas House of Representatives and roles in undergraduate leadership, notably as Team Treasurer and Recruitment Chair for the UT Rugby Football Club. Hashmi holds a BA in American Government and Politics from the University of Texas at Austin, earned in May 2023.
