Dr. Mike Klaybor brings thirty years of experience in practicing counseling psychology with individuals and couples. His approach is cognitive behavioral therapy or CBT. Specific specialties include; anxiety and stress management, chronic pain & chronic illness management, depression, substance abuse evaluations, employee assistance and executive coaching for workplace performance and leadership.
In recent years, in addition to his private practice in psychotherapy, he has been doing consulting, training and supervision of psychologists and other mental health professionals internationally. Dr. Klaybor has been working with employee assistance programs, talent management, health and wellness, employee assistance programs, smoking cessation programs and stress management in Moscow, The Balkans, and on Sakhalin Island in Russia. Currently, he has been training professionals in the use TeleMental Health programs and services. Utilizing videoconferencing, he has worked with coaching, supervision and consulting in over 23 countries.
Dr. Klaybor earned his master’s and doctorate degrees in counseling and psychology from Indiana University. He is a licensed professional counselor and supervisor (LPC-S), licensed marriage & family therapist (LMFT), licensed chemical dependency counselor (LCDC), and national certified counselor (NCC). He is a certified in employee assistance counselor (CEAP). Dr. Klaybor has conducted numerous workshops and seminars at local, state, regional and national professional associations and has been a featured speaker on radio and television. He is on the Board of Directors for the Employee Assistance Professionals Association and serves on 3 other Boards of Advisors as a subject matter expert in opioid addiction treatment and cognitive behavioral therapies.
