Operations Manager / Maintenance Manager at Bayou Well Services, LLC

Carl Simmons began their career in 1982 at Caterpillar as a Manager, where they provided P&L and operating leadership for the hydraulic power division comprised of 50 employees performing machine, welding, hydraulic and engine remanufacturing and repair. carl was responsible for strategic planning, budgeting, staffing, training, production planning, material/equipment procurement, operating procedures, testing, safety, quality control, performance management, process improvement and reporting. carl also designed hydraulic testing units for pumps, valves, gauges, cylinders and high pressure pipes; honing machine for hydraulic cylinders, and drilling heads; and fixtures and electronics for the oil and gas industry.

In 1998, Carl Simmons acquired an underperforming tool and die business, and assumed full P&L and operating leadership for Simmons Plastic Injection / Simmons Mold and Die. carl introduced AutoCAD and Inventor software, new engineering changes, tooling designs and production automation to reduce labor costs and increase product offerings. carl also established a plastic injection facility to expand customer base, and relocated the facility from Little Rock to Vilonia.

In 2011, Carl Simmons was recruited to Bayou Well Services as an Operations Manager / Maintenance Manager. carl oversaw a maintenance operation comprised of 45 mechanics, 6 electrical technicians and 4 field mechanics performing work over rig repairs and the rebuilding of QSK45, 50 Cummins, Alison 9,000 series, Caterpillar twin desk transmission, MTU V12s, SPM and Gardner Denver power ends. carl accepted full responsibility for budgeting, logistics, performance management and the maintenance of frac units/tractors, blenders, hydration units, backside pumps, water transfer equipment and sand chiefs. In May 2012, they were reassigned to Houston to establish a remanufacturing operation from the ground floor.

Finally, in 2012, Carl Simmons was hired as a Maintenance Supervisor at Welspun.

Carl Simmons attended Bryant High School where they obtained a degree in Machine Tool Technology/Machinist. carl then went on to receive Managment training from Caterpillar.
