Taylor Young

Taylor Young is a seasoned professional in the oil and gas industry with a comprehensive background in reservoir engineering and subsurface management. Currently serving as the Director of Subsurface at Baytex Energy Corp. since June 2023, Taylor previously held various key positions at Ranger Oil Corporation, including Subsurface Manager and Senior Reservoir Engineer. Prior experience includes serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Action Energy, LLC, and multiple engineering roles at Encana Corporation, notably as Development Manager and Completion Engineer in the Eagle Ford region. Taylor's career commenced with internships focusing on completions and production engineering. Taylor holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, obtained in 2011.
