Jim Vandermeer

Jim VanderMeer has over 30 years of work experience in various leadership and management roles. Currently, they are working as the Sr. Director of Product Management, Global Services at Bazaarvoice. In this role, they are responsible for creating and managing the Global Services product portfolio, leading ideation, development, and rollout of services and support offerings.

Before joining Bazaarvoice, Jim worked at Zendesk as the Sr. Director of Global Technical Account Management and Services Products. Here, they led a global technical account management team and product services group, focusing on improving customer engagement and understanding.

Prior to Zendesk, Jim held the position of Sr. Director of Professional Services at Comcast. Jim managed global Professional Services engagements for video content management solutions, overseeing projects for 40+ global customers.

Jim also worked at Globys Inc as the Director of Client Services, where they managed project management functions for reporting and analytical projects in the telecommunications and banking sectors. Jim worked with telecommunication companies in North America, EMEA, and APAC regions.

Furthermore, Jim served as the Director of Client Services at Digital WarRoom, where they led the implementation and project delivery of a cloud e-discovery platform used by Fortune 500 enterprises and AMLaw 100 law firms.

In addition to the above experiences, Jim has held positions at MessageGate, Airbiquity, PictureIQ, and Driveway, where they contributed to product management, strategic planning, and partnership development.

Before their career in the private sector, Jim served in the US Navy as a Logistics Officer and Information Systems Security Officer. During their time in the Navy, they designed, planned, and implemented shipboard Local Area Networks.

Jim VanderMeer received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the United States Naval Academy, where they studied from 1987 to 1991.
