Philipp Mertens has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Philipp started their career at iuvatec GmbH, where they initially worked as a Management Intern in 2015. Philipp gained analytical skills and sales experience while handling contracts and acquiring new customers. Mertens returned to iuvatec GmbH the following year as a CRM Apprentice, further expanding their competencies and capabilities.

In 2019, Mertens joined NetSuite as a Business Development - DACH, where they researched, prospected, and consulted with organizations to provide insights into pertinent trends and convey relevant value propositions in system unification.

Currently, Mertens is working at Bazaarvoice, initially joining the company as a Technical Success Manager in February 2020. In June 2021, they took on the role of Senior Technical Success Manager (Strategic). These positions involve managing technical relationships with clients and ensuring their success in utilizing Bazaarvoice's platform.

Philipp Mertens completed their education at various institutions. Philipp pursued a Masters of Science degree in Management (International Business) from the University of Bristol from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and Human Resource Management from the University of the West of England from 2014 to 2017. Before entering university, they completed their International Baccalaureate at the Haut-Lac International Bilingual School from 2011 to 2013.

In addition to their degrees, Philipp Mertens holds various certifications. In 2017, they obtained an Intermediate Diploma in Human Resource Management from CIPD. Philipp also earned an IB Diploma in 2013 from the International Baccalaureate institution. Moreover, they received the Silver Award from The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation in 2012.
