Emily James has a strong background in design and management in the footwear industry. Emily started their career as a Designer II at New Balance in 2004. Emily then moved on to become a Senior Designer at Stride Rite from 2006 to 2011. At Wolverine World Wide, they worked as a Senior Footwear Designer from 2011 to 2015, where they led the design and development of multiple adult take-down brands. In 2016, they joined Wolverine Worldwide as a Senior Designer and Manager, taking on additional responsibilities. Most recently, they have been working as the Director of Design at BBC International LLC since 2017. Throughout their career, Emily has exhibited strong technical skills, trend research, material development, and a keen eye for design.
Emily James received their Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Surface Pattern Design from Syracuse University, where they attended from 1996 to 2000. Emily also obtained certifications in Evaluating User Interfaces, Prototyping and Design, User Research and Design, and Introduction to UI Design from Coursera.
