Brendan Mallon

Brendan Mallon possesses extensive experience in the media and technology sectors, currently serving as the Head of Product & Systems for Archives Technology & Services at BBC since September 2015, where responsibilities include overseeing digital media and archive services. Prior roles include Chief Technology Officer at Pi Communications, where Brendan led the launch of Oireachtas TV Channel, and Head of Operations at UTV GB Media. With a history of leadership in technology and operations across various BBC divisions since 1986, Brendan has also contributed as Technology Development Manager at BBC Scotland and Operations Manager, focusing on digital archiving. Brendan holds an HND in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Ulster University.
