Jagdip Cheema

Jagdip Cheema is a seasoned financial journalist currently serving as the Senior Broadcast Journalist and Weekend Business Editor at the BBC, where they oversee business coverage and contribute to global financial storytelling. Previously, Jagdip held various editorial roles at TRT World, ARISE News, Thomson Reuters, and DMC NEWS, demonstrating expertise in business journalism and team leadership. They started their career in finance, working as a Junior Trader at JPMorgan Chase & Co., before transitioning to journalism. Jagdip holds a Master’s Degree in Financial Journalism from City University London and a BA in Economics from The University of Manchester.
