Vaisaly Balan is an accomplished professional in the fields of medicine and broadcasting. They have served as the coordinator for the Women in Medicine and Surgery society at the University of Nottingham from 2017 to 2018 and as the BMA lead for Nottingham University from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, Vaisaly worked as a secondary science teacher at London Academies from 2010 to 2016. Currently, they are an expert voice for Science and Education at the BBC, a position they have held since 2015.
