Rachel Peterson has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Rachel started their professional career as a Volunteer Instructor and later became a Karate Instructor at Championship Martial Arts from June 2016 to August 2019. In 2019, they also served as a KIND University Ambassador at the University of Florida, promoting the KIND brand on campus through various activities.
In 2019, Rachel joined L3Harris Technologies as a Corporate Communications Intern, where they analyzed and established a new strategy plan for the company's corporate Instagram. Rachel ensured that all communications efforts and strategies aligned with the L3Harris brand.
Rachel also worked at Championship Martial Arts as a Social Media Manager, managing multiple social media accounts and creating content that adhered to brand guidelines. Rachel later became a Lead Specialist, converting responses from Facebook Ads into potential customers through real-time conversations.
From 2018 to 2022, Rachel held several roles at Phi Mu Fraternity, including House Manager, Special Events Chair and Chaplain, and Healthy Habits Chairman. In these positions, they acted as a liaison, communicated professionally with house staff, and adhered to COVID policies while maintaining a positive in-house experience.
Rachel's experience in marketing and communications continued at The Agency at UF, where they held roles such as Project Manager, Media Coordinator, Brand Co-Manager, and Media Specialist. Rachel led a team, executed branding processes, managed social media accounts, and conducted research for rebranding initiatives.
During their time at The Mount Retreat, Rachel served as the Director of Operations, designing and executing the logistical plan for the retreat, aiming to create a Christian community and engage first-year students.
Prior to these roles, Rachel worked at Noy Media Group as a Client Success Specialist, Digital Marketing Specialist, and Social Media Intern. Rachel collaborated with clients, implemented marketing strategies, and managed social media platforms.
Most recently, Rachel joined BBDO Atlanta as an Account Executive in 2023. Rachel is responsible for account management and maintaining client relationships.
Through their work experience, Rachel has developed skills in project management, social media management, branding, communication, and leadership.
Rachel Peterson attended Harmony High School from 2014 to 2018 and obtained a High School Diploma. Following high school, they enrolled at the University of Florida in 2018 and is expected to graduate in 2022 with a Bachelor's degree in Advertising. In addition to their formal education, Rachel obtained certifications such as the Certified Digital Marketing Professional from the Digital Marketing Institute in October 2022 and the Hootsuite Platform Certification from Hootsuite in September 2020.
