Gmice Giannos Kastanas

Giannos Kastanas has a wide range of work experience in the construction industry. Giannos started their career as an intern and site engineer at Cyfield Group of Companies in 2010 and 2011, where they focused on technical specifications, surveying, and quantity surveying. Giannos then worked as a trainee engineer and site engineer at I. Hatzikkos Engineers & Builders Ltd, where they were involved in assessment and renovation projects, inspection, and supervision of technicians.

In 2013, Kastanas moved on to work as a technical civil engineer at Limassol Municipality, where they were responsible for various construction projects. Giannos also worked as a civil engineer supervisor/surveillant at Cyprus Ports Authority in 2014.

From 2015 to 2017, Kastanas worked as a QA/QC manager at Joannou & Paraskevaides (Overseas) Ltd, where they provided technical advice on construction materials, checked compliance, and managed laboratory and material activities.

In 2018, Kastanas joined Lagan Specialist Contracting Group as a section engineer, where they provided quality engineering reports, liaised with design coordinators, and worked on construction programs.

Most recently, Kastanas was employed at Prime Property Group starting in 2020. Giannos held the positions of Quality Assurance and Quality Control Manager and Head of Quality Department. Their responsibilities included comprehensive quality control, technical supervision, site inspections, and the preparation of reports for management.

Overall, Kastanas has developed extensive expertise in quality control, technical supervision, and construction project management throughout their career.

Giannos Kastanas, GMICE, received their education from various institutions over the years. Giannos obtained their Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering) from Cyprus University of Technology, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed their Lyceum Degree_Apolytiorio of Lyceum at Lyceum Kokkinoxwriwn Photi Pitta - Frenaros, Famagusta from 2001 to 2004. During this time, they studied subjects such as Physics A Level, Mathematics A Level, Computer Programming A Level, Biology A Level, and Modern Greek A'. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Civil Engineering and Sustainable Design from Cyprus University of Technology, completing their studies in 2013.
