Iker Muñiz Sunsundegui

Iker Muñiz Sunsundegui currently serves in Investment Solutions at BBVA Asset Management in España, focusing on private banking product development and trading algorithms utilizing machine learning and artificial intelligence since May 2023. Prior to this role, Iker worked at BBVA from September 2019 to May 2023 as an Associate Data Scientist and previously as an Analyst Data Scientist, where responsibilities included developing AI/ML cybersecurity solutions, automating detection and response procedures, and conducting end-to-end analytical projects. Earlier experience includes a role as a Cyber Security Engineer at S21sec, where Iker managed a project for the European Research Agency. Iker holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunications from the University of Navarra and is pursuing a Master of Engineering in Telecommunications at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
