Matias Viola Ochoa

Matias Viola Ochoa serves as Managing Director and Front Head at the Chair and CEO Office of BBVA since June 2010, overseeing senior staff and coordinating supervisory activities. Ochoa has held various director roles within regulatory relations and financial management, including the establishment of the Frankfurt office for regulatory matters. In addition to corporate responsibilities, Ochoa lectures at CUNEF on Banking Management and International Finance, and coordinates undergraduate projects focusing on banking and technology. Ochoa's prior experience includes leadership roles in financial institutions, such as the World Bank and the Spanish Treasury, as well as serving as a Fulbright Scholar at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. Academic qualifications include an MBA in Finance, a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Economics, a Bachelor of Law, and recognition as a Grade A public servant.
