John Crawford

John Crawford is an experienced leader with a significant background in governance and financial management. Currently, John serves as a Member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Audit Committee at BC Assessment, as well as a Board Member at the Architectural Institute of B.C. (AIBC). Previously, John held multiple key positions including Board Member for Blue Cross Life Insurance Company of Canada and served as the Past President and Chief Executive Officer of Pacific Blue Cross, where the career spanned from March 1989 until retirement in December 2022. John has also contributed as Vice President at the Canadian Association of Blue Cross Plans and as a Board Director for the Canadian Drug Insurance Pooling Corporation. Educational qualifications include completion of the ICD course in Governance from the Institute of Corporate Directors, along with Chartered Accountant designations from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
