Matthew Butterfield

Matthew Butterfield currently serves as the Deputy Assessor at BC Assessment since May 2023. Prior to this role, Matthew held multiple positions within the BC Public Service from May 2019 to May 2023, including Regional Director and various director-level roles focused on land negotiations and operations. Relevant experience also includes working as a Marketing, Communications, and Business Development Consultant at Coast Mountain Business Design, and as an Appraiser at BC Assessment from May 2015 to May 2019. Earlier career highlights include serving as Brand Manager for Bosch in Central Europe, where Matthew successfully implemented strategic marketing plans to increase market share, as well as managing travel planning operations at Prince of Whales. Matthew's education includes a Post-Graduate Certificate in Real Property Valuation from UBC Sauder School of Business and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Victoria.
