Tom O'Brien

Tom O'Brien is a seasoned GIS professional with extensive experience in the field, currently serving as a Senior GIS Analyst at BC Assessment since May 2008. O'Brien supervises a team of five GIS Analysts and is responsible for developing and delivering training modules, as well as managing software and geodatabase upgrades within an enterprise GIS architecture. Previously, O'Brien worked as a GIS Analyst, utilizing ArcGIS Desktop to update assessment mapping data and conducting webinars for end-users. From 2001 to 2008, O'Brien was a Geomatics Technician at Terra Remote Sensing, focusing on LiDAR surveys and orthophoto acquisition. O'Brien's educational background includes a degree in Environmental Science from Royal Roads University and a Diploma of Technology in Environmental Science from Camosun College.
