Shelly Appleton - Benko

Shelly Appleton-Benko has a variety of work experience in the financial industry. Shelly started their career at Odlum Brown Limited in 1996 as an Assistant and later became an Investment Advisor. In 2004, they assumed the role of Director, Portfolio Manager, and eventually progressed to the position of Vice President, Director, Portfolio Manager in 2014.

Apart from their work at Odlum Brown, Shelly is also involved in other organizations. Shelly is currently a Board Member at BC Cancer Foundation and a First Tee Ambassador at Golf Canada, both starting in 2022. In 2010, they served as a Fellow of the CSI (FCSI) Advisory Council at the Canadian Securities Institute for a year.

Shelly Appleton-Benko holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications and Business Administration from Simon Fraser University. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including a Certificate in Estate Planning and Trust Strategy (CETS), Certified International Wealth Manager (CIWM), Chartered Financial Divorce Specialist (CFDS), and a Fellow of CSI (FCSI).
