Sarah Jane Lee

Director, Technology Development Office at BC Cancer

Sarah Jane Lee has extensive work experience in the field of technology development and commercialization. Sarah Jane started their career at SmartStart Business Resources Inc. in 1999, where they worked as a Managing Consultant/Director until 2004. In that same year, they joined BC Cancer as an Associate Director in the Technology Development Office and was later promoted to become the Director in 2008. Sarah's expertise in technology development and commercialization led their to become a Board Member at the Alliance for the Commercialization of Canadian Technology from 2008 to 2013.

Sarah Jane Lee earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology and Biochemistry from The University of British Columbia, which they attended from 1991 to 1995. Sarah Jane later pursued a Master of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Finance from the University of Saskatchewan, where they studied from 1996 to 1998. In addition to their academic achievements, Sarah has obtained certifications in innovation governance, including Level 1 and Level 2 from the Innovation Governance Program in 2023.
