Giorgi Shagidze

Giorgi Shagidze, CFA, is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various financial institutions. Currently, Giorgi serves as Co-Founder of Realist, focusing on smarter and more cost-efficient investing solutions. As Chief Executive Officer of maib, the largest bank in Moldova, Giorgi oversees significant market share in deposits. Previous roles include Deputy CEO and CFO at TBC Bank Group PLC, where Giorgi supervised numerous departments and helped the bank grow over a decade, and member of the Supervisory Boards for various organizations, including the Georgian Stock Exchange and Payme.uz, contributing to strategic development and governance improvements. Giorgi holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge and completed the Stanford Executive Program, alongside an engineering degree with a focus on economics.
